Zandile was raised in and around Pretoria, where her mother and father owned and operated several businesses. It's where her work ethic was formed — and it still shapes how she leads programmes today.
Zandile's approach to public service was formed long before her career began — in a household where hard work wasn't discussed, it was demonstrated.
Growing up in Pretoria, she watched her mother and father build and run several businesses in and around their hometown. That early exposure to ownership, discipline, and problem-solving instilled a work ethic she has carried into every institution she has served since.
Over the course of her career, Zandile has worked alongside African Heads of State, United States Ambassadors, and University Professors — building the kind of institutional relationships that turn policy ambitions into programmes that actually run.
Zandile partnered with the University of the Witwatersrand and the African Centre for the Study of the United States to co-create and implement Study Abroad programmes for American students visiting South Africa — an initiative that generated nearly R700,000 in revenue within its first two months.
